Call for ISST 2024 Online General Assembly of Members

Opening message by Alexandra Schusser, current President of ISST:

I am pleased to open the 2024 General Membership Assembly (GMA), which will be held online to allow all eligible ISST members to participate. The assembly is an important opportunity for ISST to review its activities over the past two years and look ahead to the challenges ahead.
One of the key objectives of the GMA is for the outgoing Executive Board (EB) members to provide a summary of their activities during the current term. This includes presenting financial reports for approval of the period since its inception in late 2022, as well as budget plans for the future of ISST. In addition, members will be asked to approve some of the proposed appointments. Another objective of the GMA is to allow ISST members to interact with the various proposals and reports from the EB, propose items for the agenda, and comment and make suggestions on the future directions of ISST.

From September 6 to September 24, all eligible full members can comment on the GMA blog on the website and participate in discussions on ISST operations, as well as submit additional topics. The GMA agenda will be finalized from September 24 to September 29, after which the GMA election voting period will be from September 30 to October 14.
From September 24 to October 15, a call for nominations for the EB election period will be issued, and from October 15 to October 22, the Election Committee will send the final list of candidates to all eligible voting members of the Association. This will be accompanied by detailed instructions on voting procedures. Candidates for each position will be listed in alphabetical order of their last name. The EB election voting period will be from October 22 to November 13.

We strongly encourage all eligible full members to participate in shaping the future of ISST, especially since, according to the ISST statutes, a minimum number of votes is required to approve the results.
