A new study reveals the structure of Young’s early maladaptive schemas and their relationship to psychopathological symptoms.
A recent study in Turkey examined the structure of Young’s early maladaptive schemas and their relationship to psychopathological symptoms. The study included three clinical samples with over 3,300 participants.
According to the results, symptoms related to interpersonal sensitivity had a stronger relationship with schemas, while the factor representing the vulnerability to harm schema and the negativism and pessimism schema showed a stronger relationship with psychopathological symptoms.
This perspective provides the ability to provide more effective psychotherapy strategies and interventions.
